One month in paradise!

by N.S. - last update: Jun 26, 2004

Breathtaking landscape in Sapa
This was our first, but absolutely not our last trip to Vietnam. At first one month feels like an eternity, but after we get use to all kind of irratinalities and constant waiting, month ends before it even starts properly. So many things to see, do and feel and so little time. Unfare, I think.
In month we have time to do many things: crawl after guide in Sapa´s ricefields and mountains, cruise in Halong Bay, row in Perfume Pagoda, see the water puppet show in Hanoi, play at king in Hue, do some serious shopping in Hoi An, take some mudbathing in Nha Trang, riding a elephant in Buon Ma Thuot and sleeping in looooong house, searching for pearls in Phu Quoc island and cyklodriving in Saigon. And much, much more.
Absolutely best place in VN was Sapa. Breathtaking views, increadible friedly peaple and their colorful costumes and skilful (but very cheap) handworks. Despite lack of everything, their clothings are always clean and behaviour more than friendly... even if you dont buy anything from them. Local kids speaks surprising good english, just listening by turists.
I promise, that my travel pages be completed slowly but certainly!
Local cement works
Would you like to have some...
