HotCarpaccio Fri Jan 2, 2009 11:32 UTC 100% correct. It's a great tip. Also say NO to all those fake centurions etc around the Coloseum, the centurions want 1 to 3 Euro for every photo you take, and frankly they are riff raff. ASK THE PRICE before you buy ANYTHING ANYTIME. | schuby Thu Jun 28, 2007 09:38 UTC Don't try this on May the 1st though. May 1st is Labour Day in Italy. Tickets for the Colosseum and for the Palatine only cost EUR 1 each on this day, but you can't buy a ticket for the Colosseum at the Palatine as you would on another day of the year. | the_ancient_mariner Wed May 9, 2007 21:08 UTC This is a great tip, and if the line is long to get into the Colisseum, climb the Palatine first. It offers many ruins, also a museum, and a magnificent view of the Circus Maximus. |
