My husband & brother-in-law were asked what they wanted to do to celebrate a very special brithday and they decided a weekend in Dublin was the ticket. Ok so it rained but is was April.
A very lively city and some of the best pubs we have ever visited.
The dart railway was a great way of getting out of the city and seeing something of the coast.
The statues around the city centre all have nicknames. The book of Kells in Trinity College is worth a look.
No visit to Dublin is complete without a trip to the Guinness Storehouse at St. James Gate. You travel up 7 floors following the history, brewing processes, advertising and other stuff until you get to the 360 degree bar overlooking the city, where you get a pint of guinness. Your voucher for the pint is something else but I will leave that to you to find out!
