Nightlife Spot: Yosha
Catching one of the last prime spots in Monot, Yosha is situated in the top part of a renovated old Lebanese house. Renovated from the inside, while still keeping the identity of the house, it is the ideal spot for an early evening drink or a night out dancing till the early hours of the morning. Yosha is a contemporary bar that never defines itself by one thing; only that it is a concoction of great music, company and service.

Nightlife Spot: Black 'n' White
Newly opened and revamped, Black & White is truly unique in this city. With a strong reputation as the best and most probably only R&B and rap club in Beirut, Black & White is confidently making its name on the Lebanese party circuit. Located underground beneath the Sheikh Hotel in Hamra, it feels as if you’re entering a different world once you pass Black & White’s heavy black entrance doors. Being one of the only clubs in Beirut to actually have a dance floor instead of random open space, you can be sure to be the center of attention when you’re getting down. Thursday Happy night ½ price All night long with latest R’n’B and REGGAA DJ RON + MC Moe Doors open @ 10pm Friday Ladies night All ladies get 1 free drink before midnight Doors open @ 11pm Saturday Lebanon’s official R’n’B & Hip Hop night with Lebanon’s N=1 Hip Hop & R’n’B DJ Rap Base Doors open @ 11pm Every Saturday, resident DJ Rap Base steps up to the turn tables to give the crowd what they came for, and possibly even a little bit more, considering he’s one of the leading Rap and R&B DJs in the country. Beirut isn’t the only place to have Black & White grace it’s club scene. Their branch in Ayia Napa is giving Cyprus a taste of it’s charm and has proved itself to be one of the number one clubs in the area. Every month sees a new international event happening at Black & White, so keep your eyes and ears open to make sure you’re the first to get your tickets.

Crystal: Beirut: Clubbing Capital of the Middle East

Nightlife Spot: Crystal
Revival is the word of the decade in Lebanon, but it doesn’t just pertain to the reemergence of the city. Crystal, in Ashrafieh, has taken over what used to be Circus and refurbished it to create a club combining elements of the funky and elegant, to make a perfect haven for the nightlife of Beirut. Styled to the décor of the prohibition period of the US in the early 20th century, the club has an overly stylized ambience, complete with Venetian, theatre style curtains and dominant mirrors above the bar. Chrome and metal also take a big part of creating the period’s decadent atmosphere. Crystal offers its clients comfortable and spacious surroundings while listening to a great selection of ‘happy house’, which is, to those unfamiliar with the term, the French house, which is more upbeat and uplifting. On some nights, a little Arabic is fused into the air. Crystal’s specialties are their innovative champagne cocktails and grilled shrimps with udon noodles in a special sake sauce. However, this is not the only delicious thing on the menu; the cuisine is European in style, but has a touch of fusion to add, giving you an interesting combination of styles to suit your taste. Crystal has a lot of plans for the upcoming summer, but with their events announced only a short time before, you’ll have to keep your ear to the ground to keep up to speed with one of the most talked about clubs around town.

Nightlife Spot: Baby M
In the hustle and bustle of downtown there’s an unbelievably large choice of things to keep yourself occupied with. Shopping, lunch, shopping, coffee, shopping, dinner…and more shopping. But after all that you’ll need a break, somewhere you’ll want to let your hair down and party. Baby M is that kind of place, a club where you can feel at home, as if simply spending a night with friends at home, with the exception of an amazing choice of music and a selection of drinks that will definitely get the party started. Just past it’s one-year anniversary, Baby M has gained the reputation for it’s wild nights and great service, attracting a wide array of clientele but mostly targeted to students and young tourists. Its atmosphere is warm but electric, harboring you from the outside world and entering you into an environment that’s comfortable and casual as well as energetic and lively. Baby M’s two resident DJ’s have the power to get anyone on the dance floor with their mix of commercial, R&B and Arabic music. Baby M also organizes regular events with guest DJs from abroad to spice up the entertainment. This winter you can enjoy every Friday night at Baby M for it’s R&B music and if you like to create the music yourself you can head down to their karaoke night on Wednesdays. So next time you’re in downtown and you feel like some good beats and a great atmosphere, take a step in the right direction towards Baby M. You won’t regret it.
