I was a resident of Middle East from May 1995 till 31 December 2000 . I have travelled to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, , Kuwait ,Oman and UAE. during this period ..Visited Qatar again in 2002 . The countries are unique in some ways but differs in so many ways..It is a good expeience. To live here the FUNDA is LEARN THE LOCAL LANGUAGE ARABIC.

Some things seem to have advanced since you left. PDAs between couples are common in Jeddah. Saudis I know do not think they're superior to non-Saudis or Muslims. Imported goods are the same price as home...
