As usual, the taxis in a tourist area are there to make as much cash as possible from the punters. If you do not know how much it is, they will work you for an extra poind or two. The best deal around Paphos is the local bus. Most are airconditioned, and the fare is only 50P. Most of the drivers are helpful, though one or two are a bit crochety. They do not run on a schedule, but eventually one will show up. there are only a limited amount of routes, so it is not hard to get around. Paphos to Coral bay is the 10 or 15 bus, but cab it is a minimum 8 pounds, though some will try to charge 10 - 12 pounds. The cash adds up quickly.
The cheapest taxis in Coral Bay is the Coral Beach taxi company. They were consistenly 2 pounds less expensive than all the others, though somtimes you had to help with directions.
