Stopped for a day, ate like kings

by Tourtech - last update: Mar 17, 2005

Stopped for a sleep and a meal

view from the Lighthouse
We were driving from Brisbane to Sydney. We spent the day in Brisbane and then drove that evening to Byron Bay. Checked into a local hotel and ate dinner there. The food was amazing and so was the place.

We had breakfast the next morning, checked out the lighthouse and the area and then drove on as it was raining and not worth going to the beach.

Still, we will make Byron Bay a place to go visit for more than a night just based on the time we were there.

Nice page! Good shot of the lighthouse - I had a great couple hours sitting by there writing postcards and watching for whales/dolphins!

Rain, hail or shine... Byron is so unique... glad you got to see it even if it wasn't the best weather. Greetings from Australia and me.

David, I am back on your pages again. So much to see, many trips back required. I love this lighthouse. A subject you will find on my pages too. Best wishes to you from Ireland. ronaldbarr
