Oh yeah, travelling baby! So it has been a year since Evangeline arrived and changed our lives, and what a year it has been! Within 3 weeks of her birth, we had her passport application in. Since the fall, she has been a travelling Baby!
She visited NYC for 3 weeks in October of 2006, then off to London and then Middlesbrough. From there, in November she sojourned to Cyprus for a two week holiday. Then Back to the UK and finally back to Canada for the holidays. In February, she flew to Ottawa, then Toronto, then back to Nova Scotia. But the big trips were still to come.
In April, Evangeline mom & dad went to the UK again, then back to Cyprus for two more weeks then back to the UK. We arrived home the first week of June, but at the end of the month we left for Sydney Australia. Little Evangeline Spent her first birthday in Sydney Australia! On the way back, we stopped over in Vancouver during the heat wave then back home to spend summer in Nova Scotia.
Little E is a great traveler, loves to fly and meet people. We (and the passengers around us) are fortunate that she is a very good traveller and has no problems on planes. When she gets older and complains that we never take her anywhere, we will produce her first passport and prove her wrong!
Here is young miss at a famous landmark. 21 months old and this is her SECOND trip to Australia from Canada. |

| | Our travelling companion! Say hello to Evangeline. This is young miss right after her bath! She loves to travel, meet new people and have cuddles! Less than 4 months old, she has two major stamps in her passport already and has travelled to two continents!
She is cool with flights so far, three including one jump across the Atlantic and we have yet to be branded "those people with the crying child" ... I hope this trend continues! |
| | Our newest journey! Yup, we had our first child early this summer! Her name is Evangeline Grace and she was born on the 6th of July in 2006.
We got her first passport in August. This week, she flew her first international flight into Newark Airport. She is now hanging in the big apple with mom and I for three weeks before she travels off to the United Kingdom!
After a good visit there, we are back for Christmas in Canada. Then off to Florida in January for an escape. This coming spring, we are once again off to The UK, but only as a stop over on our way to Cyprus! Yup, young miss will be well traveled before she is even 1 year old!!!
BTW: you can see more about young miss on our blog. That is mostly devoted to her adventures. Look for the link up in the top of our page, under external page.
See you in the air soon! |
Please note: we have been to many places. Along these lines we have not made tons of tips like everyone else's tips. Anything we have entered on the individual pages are places, restaurants or things that we felt were special and worth checking out. For regular pictures of our travels or other things, check out the photo albums. |

| | Back home for a bit before the next one! So I work in the entertainment industry. Live concert/ theatre type stuff.
I have been fortunate, I got into the industry because it was fun. Now quite a few years into it, it is now just a job. But the result of working in this screwed up industry is that I get to travel a lot and all the time, and mostly with great people.
Now, not only do I travel for work, but I also travel for fun. You could say that I got the bug for travelling from the fact that I travelled because I needed to.
Reality is that even when I was travelling for work to exotic places, I was always the guy who planned the next great adventure for our days off.
From renting motorbikes and cruising The florida keys, to caving, white water rafting or mountain lougeing in NZ. We chartered a sailboat and went scuba diving on the Great Barrier reef in Australia. Always on an adventure.
My wife and I continue to travel. She has also been around the world, not once but twice. We have been together seven years and we have seen many places with each other. We got engaged in Wellington, NZ at the botanical Gardens. Together we planned that trip to the great barrier reef.....
By the way. Jennifer is British and I am Canadian. We met while travelling in the USA with work. We got married in Cyprus, dragging our friends and family along for the adventure.
So far this year we have travelled to LA, Australia, Hawaii, the UK, Sandusky Ohio (for roller coasters), Niagara Falls numerous times with guest visiting us at home and Tobermory. September and October will have us in NYC for about two months, in Manhattan, then Next January we are are off to Australia again.
I don't know what we are going to do when we have kids, but they are going to learn how to deal with flying very quickly.
We certainly live to travel..... |
