London is the famous and proud of England, and until the beginning of the 20th century, was one of the most densely-populated cities around the world.

The mirky Thames estuary flows right though its heart...... smoggy through centuries of industry and constant use. London has also been rebuilt many times from pretty much scratch......the last time being after the disastrous Great Fire Of London.

I visit London quite often, as it is only a 2hour drive (or direct train journey) into the capital from Portsmouth Harbour.

The nightlife is legendary in renowned hotspots such as Leicester Square, whilst famous Shopping highways include Oxford Street and Knightsbridge, to name but a few.

Me and my family (pictured) visited last winter, and we got same great photos of the cold morning dew still lingering in the air over London, from the very top of St.Paul's Cathedral.

• Pros:Traditional british city culture, red buses, black taxi-cabs, hot dogs and ice-creams.
• Cons:The London Underground.
• In a nutshell:There are many different faces to London....the good, the bad and the ugly
