This is a retreat center that also has some private accommodations and some camping facilities. It is also open to day visitors drawn by the landscape. Rooms are very basic. For example, in Staff House, shown in the picture, the communal restrooms are a short walk down the covered porch and the rooms house 3 or 4 bunkbeds. Meals in the dining hall are basic and filling, so those with special dietary needs may want to bring their own food.
Unique Qualities: Come for the views, the hikes, the time away from nearly all electronic gadgetry, not to be pampered. The rewards of simplifying and quieting are worth it.
