Shooting the rapids at Pagsanjan Falls
My first trip out of Singapore and Malaysia was in 1978 when I went with my parents to the Philippines. A day trip from Manila took us to the Pagsanjan Falls. I remember taking a canoe on the Pagsanjan River all the way to the waterfall. Along the way, another canoe pulled up beside mine and the canoeman offered wooden models of the canoe for sale. Needless to say, being young and naive, I was ripped off for it.
