"Bountiful Burgundy - Foodies rejoice" Bourgogne by amambaw

My husband and I travelled to Burgundy for a week during our honeymoon. We went because we love wine and wanted to visit one of the premiere wine regions in the world. It was an amazing week; we drank wine every day and visited several caves to meet with vignerons and try their wine. For anyone who loves wine and food, Burgundy should be at the top of your list of places to visit.

Our travels were focused around Beaune. We stayed in Puligny-Montrachet and visited several of the villages in the area. We were 'sans auto' so we didn't venture much beyond Cotes-de-Beaune.

• Pros:Amazing wine and fantastic food, very friendly people willing to show you they way of wine.
• Cons:Remember that these are sleepy French villages. Come prepared to entertain yourself.
• In a nutshell:It's not a matter of if I go back, it's a matter of when.
