Calgary!

Rusillin' Calgary!

View from Calgary Tower
Becoming my new second home now that family is living here. Reminds me a lot of Ottawa, very clean and compact city, still with a fair amount to do. Make sure to wear a cowboy hat year round to fit in!
During the next two months I'll be going back twice to both search for houses but also get some sight seeing in before flying back to Ottawa. Then I go back later to help move my brother into his place out there at the end of the summer.

The previous trip only lasted 48 hours, so I didn't have to much time but I intend to post some more. I should have a lot more for next time, but I will be missing the stampede :(
Spent the next trip moving some family into the NW of the city. Although being out of the downtown area I was able to explore more areas of the city and a bit outside because I had a lot more time. Banff and the surrounding parks are highlights. "Going to the mountains" doesn't sound like to much until you actually go and do it.

The NW of Calgary is also a very nice place, the Nose Hill park is huge! Its almost strange to have something of that size in the middle of the suburbs but I guess it happens in other cities as well. Check out my pages for more info on this great city.

Pros:"Fun city, excellent and cheap transit"
Cons:"Sudden and severe weather changes!"
In A Nutshell:"Wear a cowboy hat in February is totally cool, no matter what anyone says!"
