"Ajanta & Ellora" Aurangabad by Akshay

Aurangabad - Its situated in central Maharashtra and is famous for Ajanta Caves,Ellora Caves,Daulatabad Fort .
The name Aurangabad is because of the Mughol King Aurangazeb.
The Ajanta & Ellora Caves are the main attraction for tourists coming from all around.
The Ajanta Caves portray Lord Buddha and the Ellora Caves explain in general many stories .

Ellora: Its just 30 Kms from Aurangabad ,that means just 25 mins by car.It is said that the workers /sculptors have made all these carvings from a single mountain , they started the work from the top of the mountain and when you see the Ellora caves you can imagine their level of expertise, because they could not accomodate errors.
there are carvings of whole Ramayana ,some carvings show Lord Shiva's marriage to Parvati and many more.

Ajanta : Its abou 100 Kms from Aurangabad.here the major carvings ,sculptors are of Lord Buddha.
There are so many caves here it will take a whole day to see them all, and may be it took the workers a whole life to make them.
About a Buddha's statue at a cave there is a peculiar thing , when the light is switched on from the left side of buddha he seems to be serious and grave , and when the light is frm his right side he seems to be smiling.
You don't believe it !! right.
I too did'nt believe it .
Also some paintings which are 2500 years old show women in sarees which are painted , teven this is a amusing.
how could that be done 2500 Yrs ago.
