Ganpatiphule - The Calm Beach Ganpatiphule - I had never heard its name before,we were planning a trip to Pune & Goa and a friend came up with a name Ganpatiphule. we were 9 of us,we left Jalna on 8th Jan Morning in a Sumo and Reached Pune in the evening, after a halt there at pune we started next morning 6 am for Ganpati phule. As it was winter season the climate was very cool and Pune ,Ratnagiri are admist the Sahyadris its very Green and cool. we were close to ganpati phule may be just 18 kms but still I could'nt feel that the arabian sea is so close. The same feeling lasted tillwe were 3 kms from Ganpatiphule, then our vehicle took a turn and there was a vista of sea and a total change of air. we were just desperate to enter the sea. we went to the MTDC resort and booked 2 tents , the beach was just 100 mts , I was so tempted that just after arriving at the tent I took off my shirt and was running towards the water, but some of my friends suggested that we should have lunch together and then proceed. so the fun was delayed by an hour, anyways after the lunch we went to our tents and changed and ran towards the beach. The first 1 hour all my friends were having a photo session with all the scenes in the background, some of us also played in water ,I & my 2 friends who were confident of their swimming proceeded towards 100 mts from the shore it was nice , but there were some tree branches or some plants getting stuck between our legs and that was very frightening the first time,I thought it was a snake. after coming out of the water we played kabbadi on the beach and enjoyed a lot, whenevr I went to the opposite team to grasp a point i never came back ,they always caught me. after then we visited the temple and sat for some time, the temple here is one of Ganeshas temples in the Ashtavinakyaka.
then for the dinner we sat near the tents ordered some food and saw the waves which were shining under the moon . there were also some more people ,I hope they were some doctors who had a conference or so along with some liesure for their families. after staying there for 2 days we left for goa,I still wish to go there once again. Its a very Nice place for people who want to be out from the routine life and take a break from everything, also a good place to sit and pen down memories. |
