Bali - A land of geographical contrasts, from the golden beaches, to rice paddies. From active volcanoes which continuously shape the island to vast tropical forests; lakes, rivers and mountains abound in Bali. Since I come from the Philippines, a country well known for its white sand beaches, the beaches of Bali was a bit of a disappointment. What probably made my stay in Bali a good experience is its very unique and interesting culture. Dance and music is part of the everyday life of the Balinese people and no celebration will proceed without them. Every corner of Bali is teeming with beautiful people and beautiful sceneries. The 7-hour travel to reach the island is still well worth it. Among the places I've visited, my favorite is the Kintamani Volcano. It is simply awesome. Sunset by the beach is also a sight to behold. Drop by my Bali travelogue for more pictures. There are also some more here. Enjoy! |
