lovely old town beautiful small town,esp old town with its fairyland style buildings ,a must on the cheap no frills airline routes. |
use salzburg as a base You can use this lovely place as a base ,Munich is 1 i/2 hrs by fast train,the beautiful Bavarian countryside is on the doorstep,the public transport is both superb,reliable and oh and cheap (thats 3) |
beer hall a must is the Augustine brewery,nevr seen a place like it .An old monestary up a quite cobbled side street,open the unassuming wooden door and down the grand stairs into a huge underground beer hall,an experience. |
