Port Credit is located at the mouth of the Credit River. Being a separate town before, it's now part of the City of Mississauga. Port Credit has an array of shops, boutiques, restaurants, marina services and grocery stores all within walking distance. Its harbour, recently redeveloped, is very exciting. The harbour's beautiful landscaping invites you to look out over the lake, go for a stroll, watch the boats, cast a fishing line or just sit and relax. The Credit River is fishermen paradise; it boasts huge runs of Chinook salmon, steelhead, coho, pink and Atlantic salmon. I love this part of Mississauga more than any other. It really has a small town feel, yet is a part of the 6th largest city in Canada. |
