I have climbed the CN Tower two times and both times I climbed the stairs, no elevators used. It took me 22:15 min to get to the top for the first time, and 24:36 min for the second (I am getting older). I know, not an impressive score, but participation is more important, isn't it? Both times I did it for the World Wildlife Fund. Some people claim their visit to the CN Tower was not worthwhile. I don't know, my climbing experience was different from a regular tourist experience, e.g. when you pay at the cashier, go to the top by elevator, etc. Besides, I do like the views from the high buildings (I also was at the top of the Sears Tower before, and hey, I live on 22nd floor).

SkyDome was a breathtaking technological achievement when completed in 1989. It is still one of Toronto's top tourist attractions and a model for architects of future domed stadiums currently being built around the world. SkyDome has been asked to share information about its architecture, events and business plans to numerous city planners, architects and government officials from the U.S., Netherlands, England, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China and Germany. SkyDome is also a real engineering masterpiece. it features the world's first fully retractable roof that opens and closes in 20 minutes. SkyDome's capacity ranges from 5,000 to 60,000 people for sports events, concerts, family shows, trade shows and conventions. A unique feature of SkyDome is its Video Board, one of the world's largest, measuring 110 feet wide by 33 feet high - that means that you can't really miss the show no matter where you'll be sitting. This fact about SkyDome I like the most: Since opening, the number of hot dogs served at SkyDome would stretch close to 800 kilometers - or the distance from Toronto to Ottawa and back again.

Casa Loma: Casa Loma

Ok, first of all, I have never been inside the Casa Loma. Therefore, I can't really comment on its interiors. The buiding is already interesting as such, I mean, from an architectural point of view. So, it's already worth to be seen, no matter if you go inside it or not. Casa Loma is a real life medieval castle. It was built in 1911, by Sir William Henry Mill Pellatt, a prominent financier, industrialist, and military man. Sir Henry Pellatt earned his riches by building the CPR to the west. He used his earnings to build the first Canadian hydro generating station at Niagara Falls. In 1905 he purchased 25 residential lots on top of the Davenport Escarpment, and hired architect Edward James Lennox, designer of the city’s most prominent buildings, including the old city hall, to build his castle, what is now Casa Loma. It took three hundred men nearly three years to build Casa Loma, at a cost of $3,500,000, which at that time was an unprecedented amount of money to pay for a home. Sir Henry enjoyed his dream home for less than ten years before mounting debts forced him to turn Casa Loma over to the City of Toronto.

The Eaton Centre is proudly listed among #1 most visited tourist attractions in Toronto. Millions of tourists from around the world visit this world-class shopping centre not only for its shopping, but also for its architecture, culture and urban atmosphere. If you enter the Centre through its Queen Street entrance, you'll see 60 life-size Canadian geese. This piece of art by Michael Snow, undoubtedly serves a main theme for most of the pictures taken in Eaton.
