People say that thanks to its diversity, San Antonio truly captures the spirit of Texas. The diverse cultures of Native Americans, Old Mexico, Germans, the Wild West, African-Americans and the Deep South mingle and merge in this charming, historic city. Add in San Antonians' characteristic southern friendliness and hospitality and you're sure to fall in love with this city!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Its diversity and amazingly great food!
  • Cons:Some areas along the Mission Trail are a bit scary
  • In a nutshell:Once is not enough - you'll want to go back!

Heading here next week, will definitely use some of those restaurant tips. Boudros was already on my list and I think the fresh guacamole sold it :-)

Brings back nice memories of a week I spent once in San Antonio at a convention. The Riverwalk was fairly new then, and we all loved it.

I hope that you are having the happiest of birthdays and that the coming year is your best yet. I lived in SAT about the time that you started school and Mi Tierra was one of my faves. The Riverwalk was great and not quite as "commercial" as it is now.
