With a population of a little less than 10,000, Fredericksburg is a charming and pleasant town located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, at a convenient distance from both San Antonio and Austin, which makes it a great getaway spot for a romantic weekend or a day-trip with friends! Shopping and eating on Main Street is what a trip to Fredericksburg mostly is about - you'll find a nice mix of German goods (the town was established in the 19th century by German settlers), Cowboy shops (it's the Hill Country, yee hah!), Victorian boutiques, wineries and more! |
