| On the famous Las Vegas Strip |
| | Ah, Las Vegas... Sin City, the adult Disneyland, the Entertainment Capital of the World... it's a legendary city that many people love to hate or hate to love. Even though I'm not a big fan of casinos, I had always been curious to see all the big hotels on the Strip so when the right deal came along, we ended up booking a 3-day escape to Las Vegas!
It turned out to be everything I'd seen in movies, and then some. Because we only had 3 days and were on a limited budget, we spent most of our time walking up and down the Las Vegas Strip, stopping by all the big hotels and casinos, catching some free entertainment when we could, and basically just soaking up the wild atmosphere of the city. One thing I quickly discovered was that there's always something going on in Vegas, no matter what time of the day or night it might be! So if you're looking for a quiet getaway, by all means stay away from Vegas; but if you're looking for a one of a kind adventure, don't be too quick to dismiss Nevada's quirky little oasis! |

Ah no. . . after writing about them now you have to show me your "ridiculous expensive pair of shoes". . . it sounds scandalous. . . i like it :-))) | breughel Tue Dec 23, 2008 16:21 UTC Did you bring snow with you at Las Vegas? It's really an incredible place: Venice, Egypt, Paris, a bit of Rome, all on the same avenue. There are even musical fountains which the real Bellagio hasn't got. |
