"There is no world without Verona walls."
- William Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet
We decided to spend a couple days in Verona before catching our flight back home, mostly to get a small glimpse of what else the Veneto region had to offer besides Venice. I knew very little about Verona other than it was known as the city of Romeo and Juliet, but like so many others before me, I was instantly charmed by this very romantic city. Verona is beautiful, full of light, history and amazing architecture. It's also an incredibly visitor-friendly city: not only is it possible to walk everywhere, but if you get a Verona card you'll have access to practically all of the city's museums for a minimal fee. Needless to say, it wasn't difficult to keep ourselves busy during our two days in Verona, and I already look forward to the day life brings me back within the walls of this fair city.

As we'll be going to Verona very soon I had to look what was written here on VT, too. I loved your page with excellent tips and practical information, it is very helpful! I only regret they promise -12 degrees C over weekend so will probably have to skip the wonderful gardens.
Love your Verona tips!x
I have to re visit Verona soon. I was born there; by chance. Ciao!
You show a lot of the great sites in this fine city. Our short stay did not allow to visit as much as your did. The comments and pictures are well done, and helpful to the readers.
Verona looks like a great little historic city in which to spend some time exploring! You have some beautiful photos and very helpful tips on this little gem. The Scaligeri Tombs reminded me of the Recoleta in Buenos Aires!
Belated happy birthday!, just back from Verona and thanks for your recommedation on the hotel
Wow, great job, Jefie!
Bonjour Isa, merci d'avoir bu una coppa di prosecco à ma santé. Vos commentaires me donnent envie d'y retourner.
I knew you'd vist Casa di Giulietta. Did your man whisper some sweet nothings to you there? Cheerio. ;)
You certainly jammed lots into your "couple" of days here Isa.The Verona Card and any "tourist" card for that matter is so handy isn't it..well worth the upfront monies.Good tips and wonderful photos here..Thanks for the tour!
