I spent 10 amazing days walking through the warm and sunny streets of Paris. My tips, just like my trip, will be organized according to the different neighborhoods we visited. I was amazed at how each had its own very special and distinct flavour - it definitely gave a lot of color to our trip!
On top of visiting museums, monuments, cemetaries, and having my fair share of delicious French cuisine and wine, I also had the great pleasure of meeting some people I have gotten to know through VT: Debora, who I first met in Montreal two years ago, along with her boyfriend Felicien and her sister Laetitia, and Linda (36waterfalls), who came all the way from The Netherlands to spend a day with me. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Paris, and for that I must thank VT :o)
I also spent quite a bit of time looking for the generations of writers who lost themselves in Paris. Ernest Hemingway once wrote: "If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast." - I do hope he was right, because living with Paris in my heart sure sounds like a good way to live! |
