Karatu is the the very red clay dirt town closest in which to pitch a tent before exploring the Ngorongoro Crater. A small town with one main street it boasts a great internet cafe which serves a good hot chocolate called " Bytes Internet Pub & Cafe" which was walking distance from our campsite. A great place to stay readying yourself for the 8th wonder of the world nearby of Ngorongoro it has a really cool African small town atmosphere, and the cafe when you find it is completely unexpected... Like stepping out of Africa and into another world. |
