| Calm winter morning on Venice Beach |
I spent just a few days in LA on business, but still managed to sink my toes in the sand of Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach, visit LACMA, go shopping, and eat at some great restaurants. I don't expect to return there, but here are some tips to help you out... |
| | Santa Monica Beach Santa Monica is, of course, very scenic. We went on a beautiful morning—air 73 degrees, water 62 degrees, and a group of tiny schoolchildren sifting seashells on the beach just behind us. But you should balance out your trip by giving equal time to funky Venice Beach. |
This is me doing the highkick that you do when you're getting paid to be at the beach on a Friday morning. :) | | |

MrBill Wed Feb 9, 2005 13:59 UTC RE Venice Beach. You either love it or hate it. I used to live nearby in Marina del Rey and went there quite often esp. with guests who came to visit. Not one of my favorite places for sure, but then again I am wierd. B |
