Orleans is a great place to stay on the cape. It's right on the elbow of the cape - accessible to the Lower and Outer cape - and it's on the bay side, offering up peaceful and quiet beaches lined with ferns and dunes. It's also a lively, bustling little town, but certainly not as crowded or touristy as Chatham or Provincetown or even Wellfleet. Just thinking about Orleans makes me contented, relaxed - and maybe a bit tanner? |
