When one talks of Milan, memories are evoked of the famous fashion houses and ancient churches. I was pleasantly surprised to find an impressive cultural heritage of some fantastic art galleries.

Milan is also Italy's economic powerhouse and my visit to Milan was work related but, as usual, I found some spare time to take a look at what Milan has to offer.

The highlight of the trip had to be (no, not the Duomo, the facade of which was unfortunately all wrapped up in scaffolding) The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. Please do read in the General tips section on how to get to see this marvel.

I also met another interesting traveller while at the Duomo and we had a great time exploring Milan on a lazy Saturday morning.

I do hope I get to go back to Milan because I would then like to go see places around Milan like Lake Como and, being a true Ferrari fan, kiss the F1 track at Autodromo Nazionale di Monza.
