We are still here, a happy family of 3! hope you are all well.....we are never on this page! but we are happy and hope you are too.

Once a place that I saved dollars and vacation time to visit, is now our home. What a dream. Do find the perfect woman, and live in the perfect place, and be surrounded by fantastic people, what more can anyone ask? It was not even a question to leave my dream job and come here to live our life together, not two vs. the world, but two joining with the world, to share our happiness and friendship with those that are around us. We are both peaceful and outgoing people, who want nothing but the best for everyone. Alicante is now our home, and we intend to make the most of it. We love this place! It has so much to offer, the beach life, the city life, and the mountain life. Come and visit, I'm sure you will love it too.

Austin, Texas

In the spring of 2006, we ventured out to Austin for one of my best friends' wedding. Its a city that I have been to a few times, and I was so certain that Mette would enjoy it as well.....I was right! If you ever get the chance, head down to the live music capitol of the world, it is an eclectic city with so much to offer. A great city life, vivid lakes, fantastic food and an energy all it's own. Here we are as the bats are about to come out from under the bridge....

Found in Denmark, Kansas. Isnt she beautiful :-) While we were in the states, in Kansas City, in July 2006 we decided to take a drive out into Kansas and see what is really out there. Everyone had always told me Kansas is so desolate...nothing to see.....well they could not be more wrong. We had such a great time, cruising the backroads, windows down, sunroof open, just a vague reference as to where we wanted to go along the way....but the main theme was "no highways". It was a great trip, and the only destination we really sought was Denmark. Denmark, Kansas that is. Not Denmark, Europe and the locals there call Mette's home country.

Life should NOT...

... be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.
I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.
I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.
I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life."
I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.
I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.
I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.
I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Always my home.....Pennsylvania

It has been a strong belief of mine, forever, that Pennsylvania is the most beautiful place in the world. But hey, who can blame me, its my home state~ Now I believe that Denmark, and the island of Als in particular, matches right up with it. Not so long ago, I had to take Mette to my home, and show here where I came from. The big surprise was an unexpected visit from my Mom, she flew up for the day just to meet my future (and now present) bride. What a lucky guy I am!

California dreamin....

Here we just arrived in Sausalito....with all of San Francisco ready to explore. But it must wait...for we were on our way up to Napa for a romantic honeymoon....staying in a cottage on vineyard...I'd love to go there every year with you Mette.

Not an exotic destination for me, or most, but our visit to Chicago showed us a place that we enjoyed very much. I lived here for a few months back in 2001, and could not wait to bring Mette here. We went in the summer of 2006 for the Lollapalloza show, featuring so many cool artists....Thievery Corporation, Chili Peppers, and Manu Chao just to name a few. We will be certain to return, not only for the people and the city itself, but also for the unlimited amount of great restaurants to try.

    Glad to see you guys are still kicking it. I'm kicking too but not as high as I once did. I hope you voted an absentee ballot recently. Home is still home despite the Eagles record. Hi Mette! Tell the other one to write sometime... it gets lonely here!;-)
