Si Jagur, the cannon - Jakarta

Si Jagur, the cannon

Museum Fatahilah (KOTA) Museums Review

I went to Museum Fatahilah and found that it is very interesting to know past history about Dutch and its touch here in Kota. It is very easy to find this museum with its location in the middle of a square.

I came here from Thamrin Street with Transjakarta bus. I stopped at the end of the station (kota) then it is just a walking distance to this Museum.

You have to pay to enter this museum but very minimal. I cant remember.

Some of good attraction here are Si Jagur, underground jail and cannon store, old Ducth office and the surrounding are Cafe Batavia or take bajaj to Sunda Klapa Harbour.

Address: Kota

bumboat to ride along the beach - Jakarta

bumboat to ride along the beach

Missed the beach in Town? head to Ancol Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Review

Ancol is the nearest beach area in this metropolitan. It is not adviseable to swim here due to the water condition but it is a bit refreshing when you can get over the 'macet' (traffic jam) street and sit yourself at the marina or simply taking the boat and ride along the beach.

It is indeed a lot of city crowd during the weekend where we can find lots and lots of activities here from an amusement park to beach singing, bumboat riding and even some good restaurant scattered there such as Jimabaran Restaurant and Bandar Djakarta Restaurant.

Address: Pantai Ancol, North Jakarta

book, book, and book...

Used book and cheap too! at PASAR BUKU SENEN Central Jakarta Review

I went to Pasar Buku Senen (Used book area) where you can find rows and rows and rows of used book peddler selling the books , mostly used and antique books. You can find all type of books here either English book or Bahasa Indonesia's.

I got classic Tai Pan novel here at meastly US$2 and some James Grisham novel at the same value.

My prize book that i got here was 'Aku', an indonesian novel about great Indo poet, Chairil Anwar written by SyumanDjadja.

Address: Pasar Senen near bus terminal

Review Helpfulness: 3.5 out of 5 stars
