"Vila Real ... The end of the World" Vila Real by Nelson1979

I have been to Vila Real twice and the only reason i went there was because a friend lived there and i wanted to visit her with some friends. When you drive all the way up to Vila Real you suddenly get the feeling that you are going back in time. You come across little villages, streets get narrower, people look / are older, in fact you get the feeling that you are really in Portugal. If you like big monuments, mass tourism, excitement then skip this place. If you wanna discover true Portugal and its people then drive through here and check out the surroundings as well.
