"Guilin- scenery like on an Oriental calendar!" Guilin by bangkokjim

I have been to China several times- to Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Suchou, Shenjen and others- but I found Guilin to be the most friendly, nice weather in the winter and beautiful mountain landscape- I rode the usual touristy raft ride down Li Zhen river- and I bought some ( maybe fake??) opium pipes and other funny trinkets.
Ifgo to China again in the future, I wish to see the far Western provinces and meet Yuigar people ( Moslem minority region) and stay in a yurt? Did other people try this? I will be happy to get any advice from readers!
