Travelling by Bus: local buses in Rawalpindi
  • Tip Rating:
  • 'Mode': AROUND
    Category: Bus
Getting TO/AROUND: Very colourful - inside the bus the people are colourful as well- fully covered women and small children stay together on one side and colourfully men stay together on the other side. Pashtu music is blaring from the speakers- the bus gets very full and people hang out near the door. Even a long distance bus ride is just a minimal cost- a few coins!! an experience of it's own!

It made me more anxious to go back to Pakistan after reading your HP and tips. I was in Karachi but for a very short stay. I have a friend in Lahore and would like to go there and so with Peshawar. Thanks Jim for an enlightening experience.

Glad to see that you finally made it to Pakistan. And the best part is that you enjoyed it. I hope you had a lot of mithai ( Pakistani sweets) this time. It was so sad that the ones i bought for u last time were taken by security guys at the airport.
