i ve lived in guadeloupe for 2.5 years and usually go back every winter, i definately would like to settle there in my old days.
Guadeloupe is in the French West Indies and is part of the caraibeeens archipel. it is surrended by both the caraibeen sea and atlantic ocean.
It was discovered by people coming from Venezelua and has been in the french possession since 1635.
Creole and french are the languages spoken.
there are 2 parts in the island separated by the "riviere salee" , Basse Terre which is volcanic and Haute Terre.
they mainly live out of the production of rhum, sugar canne, bananas, fish, and tourism.
