Finlen hotel and motor lodge: perfect location for St. Patrick's day Finlen Hotel and Motor Inn Review

The old part of this place is the Finlen hotel with a beautiful marble lobby. Opened New Years day 1924, when Butte was becoming a bust town. The war was over, the need for copper was decreased. Only 2 major buildings were built in the 20's in Butte and this hotel was a miniture version of the Hotel Astor in NYC. The reason I know this is because almost every building in "uptown Butte" is on the national registry of historic places and so they all have plaques outside describing their history. Later they attached a motel to the building, pretty basic fare with concrete block walls and such but it was clean and comfortable and cheap!

Unique Qualities: Anytime you can find a place within walking distance of uptown for St Patrick's day you are doing well.
