A very typical view of the Tuscan countryside. |
| | walk around the town of towers There are paintings everywhere, it is a beautiful town but if you could imagine a medieval shopping mall....thats where you are at. Nice shops mind you but shops it is, wine shops, leather shops, souvenier shops. |

deecat Wed Mar 8, 2006 00:07 UTC San Gimignano brings great memories for me...we had a delightful time there during an Italian holiday...filled with wonderful locals, superior food, and tons of fun. | Ciambella Sun Nov 6, 2005 02:38 UTC I don't think we would ever visit San G. Tourist factor is the key word. | mustertal Sat Sep 3, 2005 00:19 UTC I loved San Gimignano, and I must return soon. | MrBill Sat May 14, 2005 08:59 UTC Some of the white wines made in San Gimignano are some of the best drinking wines I have ever tasted. The funny thing is you can buy them anywhere and they don't cost anymore than from the wine vendors locally. Tourist factor, indeed. Ciao. Bill. |
