Entrance to the Samobor's carnival - Samobor

Samobor is a small town near Zagreb and is a perfect weekend-runaway . Small, quiet but also full of life, here everything goes slow. This place is famous for it's food - Samoborske kremsnite is one of those cakes you just have to try!!!
Surrounded by hills and mountain Plesivica, it is perfect for long walks and enjoying the nature.
There is also one special thing about Samobor - carnival that attracts people from all over the country, and besides the carnival in Rijeka, is one of the most famoust one in Croatia.

Hi, didn't know that the tradition of making the 'Krafne' for carnival is that wide spread. In parts of Germany we call them 'Krapfen'. So not much different... :) Sometimes people put mustard inside one, as joke. Take care, Christian.
