Well as you can see this is a lake, it's in a valley surrounded by small villages in the north of Italy, We were staying in Tremeno. A very nice little village about and hour and a half south of Innsbruck, the people did not speak Italian they spoke a German Dialect which was interesting. We were told the area was part of Austria during the first world war and became part of Italy after it. The weather was always perfect the mountains in and around the village were spectacular and a very relaxing place to stay especially after the Olympics.
The are things to do in Termeno but it is mostly seen as a place to come and relax, enjoy the food and wine, and just have a good time. A really good thing about the area is it's very well located and close to a lot of major areas, ie 3hrs from Venice 1.5 from Innsbruck, 2.5 from Milan, so if you have a car it is a super spot. The scenery In and around Termeno is super the Dolomites are only a short drive away and in winter the skiing is in the near by hills.
- Pros:Sun, sights, water,
- Cons:Need a car as little public transport
- In a nutshell:Relaxing, Beautiful
