Eastern Andalucia

Cabo del gata
I've been living in Spain for over seven years. I've travelled all over it and I would love to share my experiences with you. Spain is such a diverse country. Each part is very different to the next.

This picture is of the Cabo del Gata in Almeria.
Roman aqueduct in Segovia

Segovia and the north.

Most people who come to Spain tend to go to the south where it's hot and sunny all year round. But don't neglect the north! It has so much to offer. Especially places such as Galicia, Catalunya, Pais Vasco and Castilla y leon

This picture is of the Roman aqueduct in Segovia. Segovia is a great town North West of Madrid. As you can see, the colour of the light here is stunning.

Inner Andalucia

Remember too that not all of the interesting things to see in the south are beaches! There are so many historical places to visit inland. For example Cordoba or where I live in the great town of Granada!

This photo is of the cathedral in Cordoba. Cordoba has Spanish, Jewish and Arabic influences making it one of the most interesting places to visit in Andalucia.

Pros:"Friendly and diverse!"
Cons:"The shops close at 2 on Saturday and all day Sunday!"
In A Nutshell:"A very interesting country. Stay away from the costa del sol if you want to see the real Spain!"
