A Great day trip from Budapest

by blint - last update: Nov 1, 2008

St Andrew's in English

This little town is easily reached from Budapest by means of the local railway or bus.

Although Szentendre is a bit touristified due to it's proximity to Budapest it is still well worth a visit. It is a quaint little town that sits on the banks of the Danube and even has a pebble beach of some sorts.

The surrounding area is very popular with cyclists.

Lovely page Julie:) I like Szentendre myself, altough I prefer Vác wich is right on the other side of the Danube. If you want an even better daytrip, just go there (see eventually my Vác page)
