A Magical Place | The Blint Sisters United! |
Vejer de la Frontera is a typical Pueblo Blanco (White Village) that you can see all over this area of Andalucia. All of these towns has the suffix "de la Frontera" which means border town, given to them when they were the border between Moorish Spain and Christian Spain. They are all fairly Arabic in look, called white villages because all the buildings are painted white. Most of them are also Mountain villages, such as Vejer or Arcos.
Personally, it is my favourite and it has been my special hide away and where I must take all my visitors.
In the photo you can see me and my half sister. She came to visit me in Spain for the first time in February 2008 and of course I just had to bring her here! When I say she visited me for the first time I mean, literally, it was the first time we had met :) |
