The first thing I liked about Cologne was how easy it was to get there from the airport. Not only are there frequent buses and trains running to the City but also it is only about a 15 minute ride.
As we only spent 2 days in the city, on the last day, we were wishing we had booked for another night. |

| | During our visit we went to the Cathedral, walked along the Rhine and took a boat trip up the river. We went to the 4711 original eau de cologne shop and the Chocolate museum, browsed around the shops and the book market on the Sunday morning and relaxed outside some of the bars drinking the Kolsch. As this was our first visit to Germany we also wanted to try some typical food so we ate bratwurst and visited a restaurant that served some traditional dishes of the area |

| | Cologne is a very interesting place, and well worth a visit. |
