Javea was once a small village with Orange groves and a fishing port. These days it is a Holiday resort and a home to many expatriates.
Javea is split into 3 main areas, the town, the port and the beach area (Arenal). The town has many shops and side streets to explore, and you'll find the outdoor market here on Thursdays. The port has a fresh fish market and marina, the beaches are pebbles, there's some good fish restaurants a local cinema (check times for Original Version films). The Arenal offers a beautiful sandy beach and a wide variety of restaurants and bars. There are many other areas of Javea to explore - enjoy!
