pretty on the past, decadent now

the city and the sourroundings

I have to say that the city is a bit chaotic due to the motorcycle and bikes driving all around without much order.
Taxis is another story, a must is a taxi with a boxed meter and always make sure that the meter starts running when the car starts.

food poisoning

even on the fanciest restaurants you could be poisoned. your system is not used to certain minerals, nothing to do with hygine. Mostly with compatibility issues. Food is the most delicious. Spring rolls are the best compared to other Asian countries.

Halong Bay

Until you aer there you do not know what it is like. The dimension will not be comparable to anything. Water is green, yes green mainly due to the islands that "poblate" the bay. If you go go Cat Ba and you do not cruise on the bay you have missed the most valuable natural site in Vietnam.
