Tonah Torajah is a place that really excited my senses. I somewhat label this as the city of the dead. The funeral processions and burial rites there are very different from the Christian faith that I was raised with. It was really an eye opener. Once again, the tours were nice and our guide was a great man who made our experiences very pleasant. During dinner time, he refused to eat with us. He said he didn't want to intrude on our time, but I insisted he eat with us. He finally agreed, but on one condition and that is he dine alone, leaving us to ourselves. Very thoughtful of him to do so.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Quiet, secluded, and rich in culture and history
  • Cons:Reality setting in.....mortality revisited.
