I visited Guanajuato in March 2008, for Semana Santa, and absolutely loved it. It gets extremely busy during Semana Santa, so only visit during that time if you love sharing a small town with thousands of tourists! There is so much to see and do in Guanajuato, everything is amazingly affordable, and you're sure to encounter a great mix of locals and visitors. Guanajuato reminds me a lot of Verona, which is kind of funny as Guanajauto has it's own mini-version of Romeo and Juliet- see my Things to Do tips for more information on that particular subject! |
