I work as a photojournalist with News Ltd and I first went to East Timor a couple of months after the Militia uprising.At that stage the country was still in turmoil with most of the buildings in ruins and no infrastructure apart from the UN.
Since then I have been back on a regular basis and have seen great improvement. |  | |
It is a stunning country with beautiful people ,virtually untouched by tourism.With spectacular beaches and mountain ranges.There is a variety of accommodation from backpacking to luxury.It is a country for the adventurous and culturally aware tourist. |
