Stayed at the excalibur over the new year period. After reading varying reports about the hotel, i went there expecting the worst!!. However upon arrival was very pleasantly suprised. There were no queues at registration, and the rooms were off a decent standard. The casino itself appears to be one of the better laid out on the vegas strip area. The only are of concern would be the staff. There were 2 kinds of staff, either very friendly and couldnt do enough for you, or the down rightrude...... needless to say the latter didnt get tipped.
On my experience in the hotel i would recommendthe hotel, and would look to stay there again for future visits, although there are clearly better/ more expensive hotels around
