Drumheller - badlands, hoodoos, canyons & coulees

Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology

Dinosaurs
Drumheller is located 130 km Northeast of Calgary in Alberta's Badlands. Made up of badlands, hoodoos, canyons and coulees, the area provides vast terrains of discovery.
The Drumheller Badlands are one of the few areas in the world where sedimentary layers from earlier time periods have been scraped off by natural processes, exposing a rich cache of fossils and even complete dinosaur skeletons.

Thanks Kevin , have to admit it is 20 years since I was in Drumheller, to be corrected next year, especially since you visited the area all the way from the land of the 'Roos. Great page, very enjoyable.

I never realized that Canada had so many dinosaurs in the past...always learning new things here. Thanks for the info. and pics, Kev. Glad I wasn't around at that time...they look like nasty creatures...cats are much nicer :-)
