More than Just Disney World!!!

Kennedy's "space coast"

Awesome power.
Riding a plume of flame, a Space Shuttle rumbles through Florida skies and heads for Earth orbit. This scene has become a common occurrence at the John F. Kennedy Space Center.
Anne and I wished to view this ation on our visit to the area, but our plans were foiled when the shuttle was delayed due to bad weather...somewhere! because the weather was fine when we visited.
Come on in..The waters fine.

Everglades National Park.

Everglades was the first national park preserved primarily for its abundance and variety of life, rather than for scenic or historic values. Don't expect to see the most breathtaking scenery in this area of Florida, rather this is an "experience" of adventure, air boat rides, wildlife viewing and the excitement of alligators, birds and the elusive "big cats."
All things American.

One of the 50 "United States Of America."

In 1960, a star was added, representing Hawaii, bringing the total number of stars to 50. There are thirteen stripes representing the thirteen original colonies.

According to President Dwight Eisenhower's Executive Order, the 50-Star flag would become the "official flag of the United States on July 4, 1960."

Pros:"Fun Parks, Space shuttles, Sun, Everglades & Wildlife."
Cons:"Can get a little crowded during the winter months!"
In A Nutshell:"Everything you could ask for!"

I don't know how long ago this was written, but the King Kong thrill ride, Kongfrontation, has been replaced by The Mummy, which in my opinion, is one of the best rides in Universal Studios, closely followed by Men In Black: Alien Attack.

Great pictures, I've only been to Fort Lauderdale in Florida, but I loved it. Nice tips.
